Senior thesis collection inspired by Swedish folklore and the folklore illustrations by John Bauer in the early 1900s. Looking at the silhouette of how he depicts trolls in his illustrations. Älva is a forest fairy, spirit that lives among the trolls in the Swedish winter forest. The trolls taught her how to hunt, forage, knit, and sew for survival in the harsh winters. Researching historical Swedish folk wear, folk stories, traditional Swedish embroidery, and Scandinavian way of life. All materials are sourced second-hand or from a small independent farms for sheep wool and alpaca wool. I use materials that you would see in a Scandinavian home, like a ram skin fur for a chair. I am half Swedish, through my mother, so this project is very personal to me and being able to learn more about my heritage.

Designed and created a conceptual all white look for my Concept Development course. I decided on the medium of chunky knit and hand knitted the dress and hood. I photographed this shoot as well.

Process book I made while studying abroad in the South of France. Looking into traditional Swedish folk-wear and my great grandmothers folk dress.

White button down I developed on the 3D fashion design software CLO. Oversized sailor collar, bishop sleeves, large cuffs, and vintage thrifted buttons.

Fashion scholarship fund competition presentation. Merging two brands; one fashion brand being GANNI and one non-fashion brand being Vespa. Created a brand extension and a six look lineup with extensive research on both brands.
