Hi, I'm Khushi. I like to express my ideas through simplistic visuals that are both easy to comprehend and pleasing for the eye. With a keen interest in history, typography, comics, I aim to maintain an uncomplicated and succinct approach to my ideas and projects.
Akhar- Revisiting the Sindhi Script is my graduation project. It explores the role of type design in preserving and revisiting the Perso-Arabic Sindhi script for contemporary use. Through a combination of research, letterform study, and design, the project aims to understand how accessible letterforms can support easier learning and wider digital adoption of the Sindhi language. Recognizing that Sindhi is not an endangered language but one undergoing a gradual shift in usage, the focus is on simplifying complex visual forms while maintaining cultural authenticity. Drawing inspiration from successful type revival projects and referencing frameworks for updating Arabic typography, the project identifies key design directions that address barriers to learning, script complexity, and digital adaptability.
