Future focused designer who loves to experiment and play.
Embarking on a journey of increased sustainable practice, my final project ‘Protopia’ is a exploration into the importance of extending the life of clothing, and the environmental impact of the fibres and processes used by the fashion industry. ‘Protopia’ is a phrase I discovered as part of my research into the future of sustainable fashion, which describes a society rooted in progression and improvement. Through the act of stitching and working on top of pre-existing materials, I aimed to emulate the idea of ‘re-writing’ what fashion signifies.
