Our mission is to design and advance preventative technology in gastrointestinal healthcare
Pera is the world's first smart health assistant for people with bowel incontinence. It is a wearable device that tracks digestion and offers real-time continuous monitoring that can predict passing stool 40 minutes in advance to prevent accidents. Bowel incontinence is a devastating condition that affects 1 in 10 people globally. It is commonly managed with archaic sanitary products that can lead to skin breakdown and infection. Moreover, people associate feelings of embarrassment and anxiety with current methods. With Pera's novel prediction function in digestive tracking, we give freedom back to people with incontinence.
