Namitha Ann Thomas is an emerging 2D animator whose work engages with environmental self-reflection and cultural critique through a cross-cultural lens. Rooted in historical art influences—particularly European Art History (1300–1600)—her practice explores consumerism and identity through experimental animation. Based at OCAD University, she combines technical skill with a multidisciplinary approach, using tools like After Effects and Blender to create visually poetic works such as her thesis film Ode to Honey.
In a whimsical short film, a group of greedy piggies revels in their gluttony at a lavish restaurant, where a captivating performer indulges their insatiable appetites with mesmerizing acts. However, as the night unfolds, the piggies discover a surprising twist that reveals the true cost of their voracious desires.
