My approach to design is deeply rooted in my love for riddles. The satisfaction of solving a puzzle mirrors the fulfillment I find in the design process. I am captivated by the interaction between people and objects, and the dynamic, almost choreographed, movements that occur in those moments. My inspiration comes from the encounters with people, places, and objects, each one offering a new perspective. I often find inspiration in moments of awareness, of paying attention to a small, fleeting moment of the simple beauty of a material and the new possibilities it holds.
System of Blinds Directing Natural Light The human desire for natural light reflects our deep connection to nature and highlights its significance for our well-being. In bustling cities, where high-rises often block the sun, access to natural light has become a necessity and a precious privilege. This project aims to bring sunlight indoors and bridge the gap between the exterior and interior through a series of window dressings that maximize and diffuse the natural light in the room. Each blind model offers a unique way of manipulating light and can be adjusted based on the window’s orientation and the room’s specific needs. These blinds feature glass prisms that refract sunlight, directing it towards the ceiling to diffuse it throughout the space. The glass also pixelates the view from the window, ensuring privacy without compromising the light levels. The dynamic dialogue formed between the outside and the inside through the blinds, changes with the movement of the sun and echoes it inside.
