I am a creative, INNOVATIVE KNITWEAR DESIGNER WHO FOCUSES ON INTRICATE DETAILS AND THE QUALITY of material. I APPROACH MY DESIGNS BY PUSHING BOUNDARIES, CREATING UNIQUE KNITWEAR DESIGNS WHICH CONSISTS OF A COMBINATION OF PROCESSES AND UNIQUE CONTRUCTION. FASHION DESIGNERS ARE A FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENT OF MY DESIGN, INFLUENCING THROUGH THE STYLING AND MAKING, which is showcased through my aesthetic.
Changing states
“Changing States” is a Framework Knitters bursary-winning and Text+ shortlisted project, where I explored the intricate interplay of mental states reflected through knitwear. I investigated how the fluidity of emotions, from heaviness to lightness, through ever-changing states of mind. My focus lies in capturing the delicate balance between stability and instability, mirroring human experience. Through experimentation, I examine the balance of yarn properties and weights, embodying the diverse textures and tensions they offer. This project seeks to define my aesthetic by showcasing knitwear’s ability to embody emotion through shifting materials on the body.
