About

Punxh is a visual ecologist and material explorer whose work examines the intersection of synthetic polymers, living systems, and environmental storytelling. Through projects like GROWinK—a fungi-based bio-ink that prints on and decomposes synthetic textiles—they merge science, design, and narrative to challenge extractive material practices. Believing in the power of visual and narrative storytelling, punxh uses materials not just as mediums, but as active agents of ecological transformation and regeneration.

GROWinK is a microbial CMYK ink system designed to print on synthetic textiles while triggering their biodegradation. By using fungi and bacteria as both pigment sources and active decomposers, GROWinK transforms color into a regenerative function—offering an eco-alternative to petroleum-based dyes and accelerating the breakdown of fashion waste in landfills. Developed at the intersection of biodesign, material science, and environmental systems thinking, GROWinK reimagines print as a living technology that restores rather than pollutes. The project aims to scale this innovation into a viable startup, offering a climate-conscious solution to textile and microplastic pollution.
