Sapna explores traditional weaving and craft techniques from Gujarat, where a large sun of India’s traditional textiles are made. She analyses various creatives in the community and the reasons as to why they want to give the south Asian community a voice and amplifies that message through her garments. Her project is celebratory. Celebrating her being born and raised in London. Celebrating her being Gujarati. Celebrating growing amongst a creative South Asian community. Celebrating a safe space for all of us.
