Sarah Larby (b.1998, Northumberland) is a London-based visual artist and fine art photographer based in London, UK. She completed her BA in Fine Art at the University of Leeds in 2020, with one year studying classical sculpture at the Akademia Stuck Pieknych in Warsaw, Poland.
With a background in fine art, Sarah Larby brings her keen understanding of artistic processes to Artists & Their Tools, a photography project that uncovers the often-invisible labour behind the creative process. Working with over 30 painters, Larby showcases the tools and materials that shape their work, offering an alternative to the traditional studio portrait. Each object reveals more about the intricacies of an artist's process than a painting does, and offers deeper insights into their practice.
