She also takes an artistic approach when screen printing and creates original designs which are digitally applied onto innovative and upcycled embellishments. This project focuses on the theme Visual Vibrations, which is based on the exploration of auras, vibrations and frequencies in relation to spiritual practices, as well as a personal lifestyle choice. The primary focus for the project is influenced by crystal shapes, smoke experiments and reflections of light to visually represent an electromagnetic field of energy. The collection of high-end fashion and body adornments is aimed towards individuals who are by colour, texture and their higher wellbeing. It combines traditional embroidery with hand-made and innovative embellishments using laser cutter techniques; the collection also consists of screen and digital printing processes to accentuate initial research.
Endless Entropy - which in simple terms means a never-ending mess - Investigates the concepts of time and space, and how it’s measured within astronomy, whilst also considering the uncomfortable feeling created from the unknown end to space and lack of information about the large, empty void above us. When I think about space being an infinite, continuous landscape that has no explanation for being created, it makes me question life and the schedule humans are subject to follow; in regard to outer space, theories about the empty cavity have either failed or expanded over many generations, yet the lack of knowledge of our existence has led me to visually explore the theme of infinite space; the universe is forever growing and has no sense of organisation, from this I want to make the uncomfortable feeling of the unknown comfortable by reflecting on infinity through space and time, with the knowledge that my time for the project is limited, however, I’m in control of it. The textural fashion pieces consist of screen and digital printing, as well as laser cutting and etching techniques, with the aim to visually represent the universe being chaotic cycle which is forever growing.
