I am Tal, a 26 year old Israeli painter living in New York. I have just graduated from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. This year I am planned to broaden my technical skills by studying ceramics, sewing, print making and others that I feel will boost my current work. I will also start searching for my next degree.
My work deals with moments that often go unnoticed and capture tensions that exist in seemingly mundane situations. to find my desired composition I like creating it on 3d modeling programs that enable me to reimagine social interactions. By this, I can look at the situation from the outside, as an invisible ghost passing through, looking from angles that could never exist. I get the opportunity to move the figures around, changing the composition to enhance the feelings of uncertainty. My work deals with moments that often go unnoticed and capture tensions that exists in seemingly mundane situations. to find my desired composition I like creating it on 3d modeling programs that enable me to reimagine social interactions. I wanted to portray the familiarity in these spaces as well as the anonymity and alienation- the secluded feeling that exists only while on that ride, ending once the driver decides to stop. images by Daniel Hanoch
