I have recently graduated from Robert Gordon's University (Gray's School of Art) with a First
Class Honours degree in Product Design (BA). I have extensive technical skills in 3D
modelling and rendering, as well as experience in market research and prototyping.
I am an ambitious and creative young designer, seeking to build up a strong foundation of
knowledge and experience in the industry over the next few years.
“INDUCE” is a collection of interactive lamps inspired by lighting patterns in nature. With the use of magnets, each piece has a built-in controlled moving mechanism, allowing it to open, revealing a laser cut element. Through warm lighting and light-shadow play, this collection seeks to bring nature in any interior space, creating a relaxing ambience, where one can focus on their mental well-being at the end of a long, stressful day. The moving mechanism aims to create the healthy habit of “switching-off” and relaxing, as well as give the user a sense of control and stress relief. When closed, the lamps function just as well and can be used as any other lamp. This balance between function and aesthetic expression results in a beautiful piece of design, that meets two different needs of the user.
