ARTS THREAD has worked with Designersblock for over four years. The two organisations have a mutual focus on unearthing, launching and nurturing upcoming designers, from our first initiative for London Design Festival in September 2011, located in the Farmiloe Building, Clerkenwell through to the 2013 edition held at the Southbank Centre and the 2014 edition at The Old Sessions Building, Clerkenwell.

ARTS THREAD successfully delivers over a short timeframe a curated shortlist including industrial design, product design, illustration, textiles, ceramics and glass, from which Designersblock chose designers for upcoming London Design Festival shows.

ARTS THREAD’s involvement:

ARTS THREAD uses its database of graduate designers to curate a shortlist of suitable candidates whose work fits Designersblock's profile.

The ARTS THREAD team ensure each shortlisted portfolio is profesionally presented. ARTS THREAD present Designersblock with the shortlist – a series of easy to view URLS and manage the process.

ARTS THREAD’s team of bloggers and social media experts promote the elected designers and the Designersblock exhibition from the start of the call for entries through to compiling post-show publicity from around the world.

Our experienced team help the graduates with preparation for the show – with advice on presentation and display.

ARTS THREAD also work with Designersblock on a similar process of shortlisted entries for their other events, such as Milan Design Week.
