Azimut Yachts is calling for a highly innovative and creative project from transportation designers and interior spaces designers. The task is to create a new day cruiser to be launched under the Atlantis Collection* of the brand.
The winner of the competition will receive an all-expenses paid three month internship at Azimut headquarters in Avigliana, Italy.
The contest is part of a broader project that Azimut|Benetti Group has conceived to celebrate its 50° anniversary and underline its focus on design.
The project entails the showcase of an Azimut yacht in Times Square as a design installation, in partnership with Design Pavilion celebrating NYCxDesign (May 10th - 22nd 2019).

THE BRIEF
Azimut Yachts is calling for a highly innovative and creative project from transportation designers and interior spaces designers. The task is to create a new day cruiser to be launched under the Atlantis Collection* of the brand.
For this new concept boat, designers are requested to propose one of the four below options:
1 - External lines of a 10 mt boat with in-board engines, capable to interpret Azimut’s sporting vocation and respect its stylistic DNA.
2 - Layout of habitable areas of a 10 mt boat with open and multifunctional spaces, which may be transformed according to the different moments of the life on board: navigation, relax, meals.
3 - Under-deck interiors of a 10 mt boat to be enjoyed during the day as a living room or a dining area and convertible at night into a two-person suite with adjoining small bathroom.
4 - Innovative, exclusive and luxurious micro-design details dedicated to on-board comfort, such as objects, seats, ergonomic sundecks and combined lighting or integrated roofing systems for sun protection, or control panel with exclusive steering wheel.
The use of sustainable materials will be considered a valuable plus for participants.

THE PRIZE
The winner of the competition will receive an all-expenses paid three month internship at Azimut headquarters in Avigliana, Italy.
The winning design will be selected by Azimut and a international judging panel of experts.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Open internationally to design students and 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 graduates
- Entrants must be over 18 years old.
