URBAN OUTFITTERS & ARTS THREAD are proud to introduce the Make It Design Competition: Winter Holiday Gift Shop 14
BRIEF:
The 2014 Make It Winter Holiday Gift Shop will feature works from carefully selected designers, artists and craftspeople from around the world. Using a variety of mediums, including leather, yarn, metal and wood, these designers will create pieces inspired by their own lifestyles and the spirit of giving. A special Gift Shop for a special time of year…can you MAKE IT?

- WOMEN’S SWEATER Design an amazing, gift-worthy sweater.
- WOMEN’S COLD WEATHER SET Design a cold weather set featuring a hat, scarf & gloves.
- WOMEN’S LEATHER BAG Design a covetable leather bag.
- JEWELRY Design the ultimate statement piece to complete any holiday look.
- JEWELRY STORAGE Design the perfect storage piece that can be placed on a vanity or tabletop.
- WILD CARD Surprise Us! Your submission can be anything you would give to a loved one during the Winter Holiday season.
Technical specs must include:
- CAD or Photoshop/Illustrator-rendered technical drawings of all sides
- All size measurements
- Construction information (if applicable)
- Specifications for all materials: for example fabric types, trims, wood, metals, hardware, paint, stitching and embellishment (if applicable)
- Pantone color # for all colors used
- Reference images and qualities for any special construction or decorative techniques
Price guidelines
- Sweater retail price range: $79-248
- Cold Weather Set retail price range: - Hat: $39-49 - Scarf: $39-$59 - Gloves $29-39
- Leather Bag retail price range: $100-$150
- Jewelry Storage retail price range: $59-$69
- Jewelry retail price range: - Earrings: $25-$50 - Necklaces: $50-$100 - Bracelets: $25-$75
- Wild Card retail price range: $40-$200

To enter, simply log into your account, upload your design a new project, click on ‘Edit Profile’, scroll to the bottom of the page and tick the box marked 'Urban Outfitters Winter Holiday Gift Shop 14 Competition.' Finally, email us at uo@artsthread.com with your ARTS THREAD URL to confirm your entry.
