About

Hi, my name is Odeya.  27 years old from Israel. I'm a student of fashion design at Shenkar College of design an Engineering. From a young age I love doing anything that has to do with painting or creating. At an older age I learned to sew, and fell in love with visiting the fabric store, imagining what I could do with them and then actually creating what I had in mind.I believe that fashion is a unique way for us as human beings to express ourselves - our thoughts, beliefs, insights, and simply who we are - and bring ourselves to the world.feel free to take a look at my creative world.Hope you enjoy!

Hi my name is Odeya, my research is about an act we do every moment without even paying attention to, and this is our breathing. This "simple" action can be healing in all levels, physical, mental, emotional and also consciousness change. In my research I have asked What if we could actually see our breath? Imagine if we could make it more visible. Would it help us breathe better or remind us to take deeper breath. I've been researching how clothing can be home for our bodies, a place where we can feel comfortable and breathe freely. I have mapped the different types of breaths, exploring their rhythms and movements, and translated them into unique and diverse silhouettes. the structure made of bones, electrical cables, nylon fabrics, and knits to create a collection that's sporty and conceptual, perfect for men's fashion. During the project I took inspiration from the artist Jayne Wilton, in her works she gives the breath a visual appearance through drawings, light photographs and paintings. Inspired by her works, I created a variety of prints, some of them I made digitally, I printed one of them manually in screenprinting using the mono print method.
