Veronica is a St. Petersburg born American artist currently residing in San Francisco Bay Area.
As she is interested in pure subjectivity, and searching for the almost “pre-conscious” innocence and transformation, known under the concept of apperception, she is finding herself emerging more and more into the world of play as a method of art-production that yields the artefacts representative of the moment -- the pure moment of existence, and inundated experience. She works in the variety of media, from painting to video installation.
She studied art, architecture and theatre and has her MA degrees from the University of East London, University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and Harvard University respectively.
"Emergence" is one of the latest ongoing work that consists of series of paintings. It explores serendipitous conditions of emerging of image as well as artist-painting interaction, while using mixed media glazing technique. As Veronica is interested in pure subjectivity, and searching for the almost “pre-conscious” innocence and transformation, known under the concept of apperception, she is finding herself emerging more and more into the world of play as a method of art-production that yields the artefacts representative of the moment -- the pure moment of existence, an experience.
