As a womenswear knitwear designer, my aesthetic is loud, exaggerated and energetic. Strong design should be playful and inspire play. Driven by textiles, my process always begins with the fabrication and that leads my shape. Knitwear allows a freedom of manipulation that I am passionate about.

Inspired by the re-imagination of the past and the re-invention of traditional techniques, my graduate collection addresses the modernist paradox or rejecting commitment in favour of the free-spiritedness that locks us into a fear of moving forward as we reminisce over past ‘selves’ online. My collection, Regression Session, embraces the current view of childhood through expreimental led design. The ‘wearing my mum’s dress’ played throughout my designs, creating oversizes slouchy shapes reminecent of childhood dress-up. Driven by textiles, I’ve created decadent fabrics with conflicting weights that are exaggerated and energetic, where understated backgrounds collide with manual embellishment.
