About

My name is Davide Casadei, I was born in Cesena (FC, Italy). After graduating High School in the Hu- man Sciences field, I have lived different experiences between study and work (competitive cycling, sales assistant, sneaker maker) before starting my path in Fashion Design at IED Milano, driven by the need to find an “alternative way” that would give me a chance to express myself more. I have always been attracted by all that is whispered, to which more attention must be given to be understood, by silent and not shouted actions and this way of being is reflected in the details and in the garments I make. During my studies in IED, I gained the skills required to design a collection: textiles and accessories research, knitwear develop- ment, pattern making and tailoring. Expert in diffe- rent programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Procreate. In each of my design I research and contaminate different worlds always starting from those that are the formal codes of men’s clothing.

INDOSSANDO LA PIOGGIA

Drawing inspiration from formal men’s clothing, this collection aims to push the boundaries of conventional menswear by combining the garments in an unusual way, by superimposing different textures, luminosities and silhouettes, guiding a reflection on the creation, production, use of clothes and how the multiple symbols contained in a garment can be read, erased, distorted or copied to create their on dress codes and an aesthetic language that maintains references both to the contemporary and to traditions as a warning for a new beginning.
