About
I'm an interdisciplinary visual storyteller (illustrator / animator / designer) and a Fulbright Scholar,. Recently I graduated with an MFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. I play with visual methaphors in editorial illustrations, children's illustrations, visual identities, and animations. I enjoy doing whimsical gifs and making people laugh.
Mr. Fragile is a stop-motion animation about a creature made of wooden blocks. Mr. Fragile enjoys sleeping, drinking coffee, and going for walks. One day he loses this tooth and decides to go to the dentist. Animation plays with abstract visual metaphors. By adding the sound, I was able to change the context of the scene, add the meaning, emotions to the “blocks”. I recorded the sound of the characters using the same wooden blocks I used for the animation. Some of the scenes were improvised.
