About
I am a Costume Design and Making student currently studying at Buckinghamshire New University. My passion for sewing has grown over the years, starting from sewing trinkets to sell at school fares to making garments to enter world-wide competitions.I fell in love with theatre from a young age, growing up with the immersive beauty that has made me strive and develop a set of costume skills I am proud of and well known for within my community.The future is truly unknown, but I will never lose my love for the creative arts, both theatre and film.
Focused on ‘Del Toro’s Pinocchio’ in particular the character Geppetto, bringing in design elements from my upholster and antique dealing grandfather and combining this with Germany during the WW2 I created a pair of fall front trousers that had a story. The entire garment was made from recycled deadstock fabric and no purchasing was made to increase the authentication of the trousers, each patch shows a year of wear and tear.
