Textile designer specialising in screen print for interior spaces.
This project explores how man-made structures have disrupted nature and wildlife and the resulting industrialisation of natural habitats. My main influences are a combination of winter blooming plants and brutalist architecture with traces of London wildlife. This collection is made up of predominantly screen-printed samples of fabrics and wallpapers, alongside supporting digital prints, stitch and tufting. This collection delves into the idea of what the cities would look like if plants could thrive there. The visual direction of this project has gone towards the textures of brutalism with winter plants growing unobstructed over them.
