If you were to live to 200 what would you do? It is unlikely you would spend 180 years of adult life doing the same thing, People sometimes say live each day as though it were your last. This is impractical; if you knew you were going to die tomorrow, apart from crying or trying to make a last minute pact with God, you might throw a wild party or give away all your possessions. It is unlikely you would do any work. It is more useful to assume that you are going to live to 200 and, who knows. maybe it will be possible. Art is my fourth career. Before taking an FDA in 2013 and an MA in 2015, Iworked as a journalist, a civil servant and as a consultant. In most cases my art arises from my conviction that this life is all that there is and my emotional difficulty in accepting that this is the case. I believe that our consciousness stems from the neurons in our brain and when we die it is extinguished. I cannot even see intellectually that it would be desirable for it to be otherwise.Imagine the boredom that would set in after the first few millennia, I work in a variety of media, including paint, resin, plastics, fabric and papier-mache. I like working large but have been experimenting with the ways that large need not be heavy, Thanks to helium some of my sculptures have even been lighter than air. I am particularly interested in the boundary between sculpture and painting seeking irregular shapes, changeable forms and ambiguous colours,
