About
I am Beatricia, I am 22 years old, and I am a Fashion Design & Accessories (with Womenswear Pathway) student at Istituto Marangoni in Milan. I am Romanian, but I moved to Milan to follow my studies in fashion. Before starting to study design, I was a professional athlete since I was 7, however, years later I realised that I have a deep interest in fashion, but also a talent to create.
In my works I like to bring out desires of our subconsciousness, to play with unconventional aesthtetics, that in the end create a new way of elegance and sophistication. By putting emphasis on concept, I am striving to create clothes which resonate with people's strories and values. In a visual game with high-quality textiles, unique color blocks and complex silhouettes, I try to showcase a composed woman, aware of her intricate inner world, that is not scared to show it. A woman that performs with mystery and authenticity anywhere she goes.
At a cross between conscience and subconscious, the collection puts in highlight the question of fate, whether it is a choice of ours or it is something already chosen for us. It bears the veil of the Theatre of Life, where the subject wonders if he is the scriptwriter or the puppet of the play. Inviting to self-questioning and self-reflected answers, the collection is an infinite space of constructed distortion, rational collapse, and predestined distiction, putting one on the contrasting stage of long-lost beginnings and contemporary glamour.
