I am a textile designer driven by curiosity about material innovation, sustainability, and thoughtful surface design. My practice sits at the intersection of craft and concept, exploring how textiles can communicate both aesthetic value and environmental responsibility. I am particularly interested in the future of materials in fashion, experimenting with bio-based alternatives, natural dyeing, and circular design methods.
My design style is tactile, organic, and process-led. I draw inspiration from natural systems, material transformations, and the subtle irregularities of handcrafted techniques. Through layering print, texture, and colour, I aim to create surfaces that feel both contemporary and rooted. My work often balances soft, muted palettes with moments of rich depth and contrast, reflecting a considered and refined visual language.
My final collection embodies this ethos, focusing on the development of sustainable textile samples that challenge conventional material use. Through processes such as bio-leather creation, natural dyeing, and experimental surface manipulation, I have created a series of samples that highlight the potential of responsible design. The collection is both a visual outcome and a reflection of my commitment to exploring innovative, conscious approaches in fashion and textiles.
My collection explores sustainable textile innovation through a series of material-led experiments and resulting samples. Focusing on bio-based alternatives, I created bio-leather from agar, alongside naturally dyed prints and herb-dyed knitwear. The project investigates how responsible design principles can be applied in contemporary fashion, combining traditional craft with innovative processes. Through sampling, testing, and refinement, I explored texture, colour, and durability to assess each material’s potential. The outcome is a collection of textiles that balance aesthetics and sustainability, demonstrating how future-facing materials can be integrated into fashion while maintaining a strong visual identity and a considered design approach.
