lululemon Apparel Design Challenge: Life in Motion
The starting point of my collection was a sculpture I created during a period of emotional turbulence. Inspired by Louise Bourgeois and Rebecca Horn, I sketched a map of how my body felt and, following Bourgeois’ advice to externalize inner weight through sculpture, I translated it into a large vein-shaped sculpture made from a dark textile. This act lifted the heaviness from my body and allowed me to approach design intuitively without restrictions. I began experimenting with moulages from a corset, later developed into precise pattern pieces. The collection explores the tension between protection and vulnerability, and the bridge between the internal and the external world.
