About
I am a fashion designer with a strong foundation in both practical and academic aspects of the industry. My journey began in India with a foundation year in 2016, followed by a diploma in Fashion Design, which I completed in 2020. I then gained hands-on industry experience through two years of full-time work at a boutique, where I was involved in fashion merchandising, buying, and manufacturing.
In 2022, I began my BA in Fashion Design at Birmingham City University. Since the beginning of my degree, I’ve developed a strong focus on sustainability starting with a zero-waste management project in my first year. This passion has continued to grow and now shapes my dissertation and creative direction. I am committed to creating innovative, responsible fashion that challenges waste and supports a more sustainable future for the industry.
Concise Edit is a fashion collection rooted in sustainability, versatility, and purposeful design. It reflects my belief that creativity and environmental responsibility can coexist through mindful material choices and construction methods. Using natural fabrics like cotton, khaadi, and linen, I prioritized breathable, biodegradable textiles while reducing waste through zero-waste cutting and durable French seams. Inspired by early embroidery experiments, I transitioned to in-house digital printing for its longevity and lower environmental impact. With modular designs and interchangeable accessories, Concise Edit. promotes a minimalist wardrobe philosophy. This portfolio showcases my journey in creating fashion that is conscious, functional, and enduring.
