About

Guess Who? Visually Impaired Edition is an innovative project developed by students Omar Rojas, María Shaw Elorduy, and Andrés Sebastián Serrano López, aimed at including individuals with visual impairments in one of the most popular board games today. The project promotes accessibility and equity in recreational activities. The process begins with the digital 3D modeling of small busts that represent distinct physical characteristics. These busts are then 3D printed to replace the original game’s printed cards, enabling a tactile experience that allows players to identify characters through touch. The main challenge of this project was to translate visual elements into tangible forms, making them accessible to blind players by adapting the game board for full interaction. Each bust features the character’s name in Braille on the back, providing a complete and inclusive gaming experience. By adapting a classic board game for people with visual disabilities, this project promotes social inclusion and equal opportunities in leisure activities. It also raises awareness about the importance of accessible design and demonstrates how technology can be creatively used to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Among the Shadows is a project developed in the course 2D Animation II by student Claudia Luna Cruz. Its main strength lies in the use of frame-by-frame digital animation that emulates the style of traditional analog 2D animation. This technique not only provides greater fluidity to character movement but also represents a careful fusion between classical production methods and modern digital tools. The project’s narrative addresses a pressing social issue in Mexico: insecurity. Through its characters and storyline, it reflects how this problem affects people of all ages, genders, and social backgrounds indiscriminately, raising awareness of a reality that deeply impacts everyday life.

Test on Humans is a project developed in the course 2D Animation II by students Ivana Sánchez Bellan and Luz Natalia López Martínez, using a 2D digital animation technique characterized by a simple and minimalist design, featuring silhouettes and solid colors. The narrative addresses the questionable practices involved in testing new products on animals before they are released to the market. What sets this production apart is the reversal of roles: instead of animals, it is humans who are subjected to these tests, creating a reflective and unsettling effect on the viewer. This approach aims to raise critical awareness about these practices and promote ethical change in how they are conducted.

Alas y Arados is a 2D animated series created by student Camila Osuna Herrera. It tells the story of Ratchet, a protagonist in search of the meaning of his existence and a desire to fully explore what life has to offer. Throughout his journey, he faces internal conflicts arising from social pressure, external expectations, and a sense of imposed duty, which lead to a deep personal crisis. As the story unfolds, Ratchet must make a pivotal decision: follow the path others have laid out for him or forge his own, guided by freedom and authenticity. Beyond its goal of entertaining, this series aims to create a positive impact on its audience by offering thoughtful reflections on existential and universal themes. Its narrative promotes core values such as authenticity, empathy, and creativity, encouraging a more conscious and humanistic perspective within society.
