About

I’m Zoe Bennett, a fashion design student at Birmingham City University with a focus on textiles, material exploration, sustainable construction and illustration. My design approach combines creativity, attention to detail, and a strong problem-solving mindset.

I’ve gained hands-on industry experience through internships and live projects, including winning the Birmingham Panthers’ 2025 Superleague kit design and collaborating with brands like Superdry and Gill Marine. These opportunities have deepened my understanding of garment construction, fittings, and production processes.

My work has been featured at Birmingham Fashion Week and exhibited at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, showcasing my ability to bring concepts to life in both creative and professional settings.

I’m always eager to push boundaries, learn from others, and bring fresh, innovative thinking to every project.

Look Book for "Between Stations" Project

Lost in the Blur, encaptulates Frank Ocean's expressive photography with the playful video and arcade games Frank grew up with in the 80s. Frank Ocean initmate photography style enhances a real sense of nostalgia. This, blended with the bold, graphic elements found in the video game aesthetics infuses the collection with engergy and retro flair.

Between Stations is a menswear collection that combines tailoring, sportswear and contemporary art. Inspired by the daily journey of a London Underground Commuter, the work reinterprets practical menswear through hybrid garments that merge formal and funtional elements. Artist Grayson Perry's use of colour strong influenced the collection's colour palette and concept, particularly his observations on conformity in traditional suiting. Challenging conventional menswear codes through colour, print and construction, the collection places textile design at its core.

This collection explores the collision of two iconic worlds: the traditional English “lad culture” and the glitz and chaotic energy of Studio 54. At the heart of this fusion is Grace Jones, the bold androgynous diva who blurred the lines of femininity and masculinity. Though seemingly worlds apart, this collection is a celebration of contradictions, where ordinary meets the extraordinary, the grit of everyday life and the glamour of the night come together in unexpected harmony. Grace Jones, with her fearless identity embodies the intersection these worlds, the raw unfiltered authenticity of the pub meets the audacious disco scene.
