About:

My name is Mia Feng. I am an industrial designer. I hope to one day create products and systems that could meet real needs, and explore a new interpretation of how we view the world. Products and systems relate to people’s need, which I think is crucial for finding the correct relationship between human needs and personal ideation that could fit in societal environments. In the process of design, I focus on the stage of research, by encoding and analyzing the results from my research to create design directions, originating ideas and developing concepts, using drawing, sketching, and prototyping. I am interested in human-centered design at service, interaction, and technology. Even though I still exploring multidisciplinary design areas, and I hope human-centered design could be my future professional career direction.

Echo is a product service system design that consists of a device and a digital application. The device integrates music therapy to comfort people with ad and functions as a messenger of caregivers, embedded with attributes of physical interactivity. The digital application is for caregivers to deliver voice messages and provides clinical service that takes care of caregivers’ own emotions and mental health.
